Your money doesn’t go to the seller. It goes to us.
Sending money home, or buying something from someone in Ghana you have never met? When they send you a TheTrueVault link, your payment goes to TheTrueVault — not to them — until you’ve checked what you paid for.
Already have a reference number? Check it’s real before you pay.
Sound familiar?
Paid someone in full and then spent days worried it might never turn up?
Been scammed, or nearly scammed, buying something while you were visiting — cash gone, seller gone?
Lost faith in buying anything from home while you are abroad, because the one time you tried, it went wrong?
None of that requires anyone to be a bad person. It just requires paying first, with nothing holding either side to the deal.
How it works for you
- 1
They send you a link
A seller shares their TheTrueVault link with you on WhatsApp, the same way they would share anything else.
- 2
You pay in
Your money goes to TheTrueVault, not to them. No account needed to pay.
- 3
You check it, then they’re paid
You get a set time to check what arrived, or to confirm what was built. Only when you’re satisfied — or the time runs out — does the money move to them. On larger payments, our team checks the release first.
If it never arrives, you get your money back.
The same checks, whoever you are.
These run on every TheTrueVault deal, buyer or seller, Ghana or abroad. Nothing on this list is specific to you — which is the point.
One Ghana Card, one account
Every seller who gets paid is verified against their Ghana Card, and that card cannot be reused to open a second account. You are not sending money to an anonymous profile.
One-way hash, checked at submission
The money is not ours while the deal runs
Your payment stays with the payment provider that collected it until the deal ends. It is never passed to the seller early. Every fifteen minutes our own books are checked against the provider's balance.
Double-entry ledger, reconciled every 15 minutes
Larger shipped payments are released by a person
Above a certain value, we do not let a timer alone release your money to the seller \u2014 someone here looks at the delivery first. It can mean a longer wait; we would rather you heard that here than discovered it on your first payment.
Automatic hold, cleared by a named reviewer
Every action is on record
Funding, messages, delivery, release \u2014 all timestamped, and checked against themselves every hour. If a dispute happens, it is read from a record, not argued from memory.
Append-only record, re-verified hourly
You shouldn’t have to trust a stranger to send money home.
Ask whoever is selling to you for their TheTrueVault link. If you already have a reference number, you can check it is real right now — no account needed.
